Client Satisfaction

At Dee's we strive to provide satisfaction to every customer and pup. At checkout and for the next 24 hours after, if you see something that needs to be touched up please let us know and we will take care of it!

Matted Pups

We encourage owners to keep up with the maintenance for your furry friends. We understand that from time to time, your furry friend may end up with matts if regular brushing and bathing schedules are not kept. Matted fur can be a dangerous condition affecting the health of your pet. At Dee's we place pet safety first, and as a result we may need to shave closer than an owner may want to alleviate the condition. After a groom with a matted condition, owners may notice bruising, redness, irritation, and sometimes even bleeding from the skin. These conditions result from the hair follicles of your pet being constantly pulled into mats. In all circumstances extra fees may be applied as a result of a matted condition.

Senior Pets

At Dee’s Dog Grooming, the safety and well being of senior pets is our top priority. Owners must disclose any known health conditions prior to grooming; however, grooming may still aggravate both known and unknown medical issues. Because grooming can be more stressful for senior pets, they may experience increased fatigue or discomfort during or after their appointment. If a senior pet shows signs of significant stress or distress during grooming, the service will be stopped immediately for the pet’s safety. While our staff takes every precaution to provide a gentle and safe grooming experience, owners should understand that grooming senior pets carries inherent risks, including the possibility of serious medical complications or death. Charges shall still apply for services rendered. Dee's reserves the right to refuse service for any senior pet.

Health Conditions

At Dee’s Dog Grooming, owners are required to disclose all known health conditions their pet may have prior to the grooming appointment. This includes, but is not limited to, medical conditions, injuries, behavioral issues, or sensitivities that may affect the grooming process. If an undisclosed health condition or behavioral issue is discovered during the groom that could place the pet or groomer at risk, Dee’s Dog Grooming reserves the right to stop the grooming service immediately for the safety of the pet and staff. In such cases, the full grooming charges will still apply for the time and services provided. Additionally, if fleas, ticks, or other parasites are discovered during the grooming process, additional cleaning and treatment fees will be applied to cover the sanitation required to protect other pets and maintain a safe grooming environment.

General Grooming Policy

By scheduling an appointment with Dee’s Dog Grooming, owners acknowledge that grooming involves inherent risks, including but not limited to nicks, cuts, skin irritation, stress, or other unforeseen reactions. While every precaution is taken to ensure the safety and comfort of each pet, pets may react unpredictably during grooming. Dee’s Dog Grooming reserves the right to stop a groom at any time if continuing would place the pet or staff at risk.

Aggressive or Difficult Pet Policy

Owners must inform Dee’s Dog Grooming if their pet has a history of biting, aggression, or behavioral issues. If a pet displays aggressive or unsafe behavior during grooming, Dee’s Dog Grooming reserves the right to stop the groom immediately for the safety of the pet and staff. Safety equipment such as muzzles may be used if necessary. Full or partial grooming charges may still apply.

Late Arrival Policy

Appointments are scheduled to allow adequate time for each pet. Clients arriving late may have their appointment shortened, rescheduled, or refused depending on the schedule for the day. Late arrivals may also be subject to additional fees.

No Show and Cancellation Policy

We ask that clients provide reasonable notice if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Failure to show up for an appointment or repeated last minute cancellations may result in fees or the requirement to prepay for future appointments.

Pet Pick Up Policy

Owners will be notified when their pet’s grooming is complete and are expected to pick up their pet promptly. Pets left for extended periods after completion may be subject to additional daycare or boarding fees.

Vaccination Policy

For the safety of all pets and staff, Dee’s Dog Grooming requires that pets be up to date on required vaccinations, including rabies as required by law. Pets that appear sick, contagious, or otherwise unwell may be refused service.

Medical Emergency Policy

In the event of a medical emergency, Dee’s Dog Grooming will make reasonable efforts to contact the owner immediately. If the owner cannot be reached and emergency care is necessary, Dee’s Dog Grooming reserves the right to seek veterinary treatment for the pet. The owner agrees to be responsible for any associated veterinary costs.

Shave Down Policy

Pets with severe matting may require a complete shave down for humane and safe removal of mats. In these cases the coat may need to be clipped very short and skin may be visible. The final result may not meet the owner’s desired style due to the condition of the coat.

Photo and Marketing Policy

Dee’s Dog Grooming may occasionally take photographs of pets for use on social media, marketing materials, or our website. By bringing your pet in for grooming, you grant permission for Dee’s Dog Grooming to use these images unless you request otherwise.

Payment Policy

Payment for grooming services is due at the time of pickup. Dee’s Dog Grooming reserves the right to refuse future services for unpaid balances or repeated payment issues.

Parasite Policy

If fleas, ticks, or other parasites are discovered during the grooming process, additional cleaning or treatment fees may be applied. This policy helps ensure the health and safety of other pets and maintains a sanitary grooming environment.

Comfort Over Completion Policy

At Dee’s Dog Grooming, the health, safety, and comfort of the pet always come first. If a pet becomes overly stressed, aggressive, or medically compromised during grooming, the groom may be stopped before completion. Owners understand that charges may still apply for the work performed.
